Gryphon Planetary University functions as an organization-wide learning center dedicated to offering courses that help to nurture and develop leadership skills among our membership. These courses are not specific to any one branch in TRMN. Some courses focus more on requirements for rank advancement, while others focus more on a member’s preparation to hold certain billets and positions within the organization.
In the Advanced Leadership College (ALC), internal TRMN courses have been created that serve as prerequisites for branch-specific main line rank courses. These courses may also be taken independently as a sequence unto themselves. The ALC also offers courses developed by third- party vendors to serve as continuing education for our current leaders as well as the development of our future leaders. Some bureaus may require individuals to take specific third-party courses prior to assuming a particular position or billet.
The Institute for TRMN Leadership Studies (ITLS) offers courses that have been developed by specific bureaus or organizational structures that better prepare members to take on certain functional roles within the organization. Some of the courses are not available to the general membership, while others, like ‘Intro to TRMN’, we encourage every single TRMN member to take.
