Royal Manticoran Merchant Marine Working Uniform

From Mantipedia

Working Uniform: Royal Manticoran Merchant Marine

The working uniform is worn for duties that involve environments and tasks in which the wearer expects to get their clothing dirty. It is also authorized for general shipboard wear. This uniform is the first that many members will achieve and should be considered on par with the shipboard uniform and convention minimum.

Uniform

All ranks will wear a navy-blue, one piece, coverall with an open collar. No belt is worn. The coveralls may be worn bloused, or un-bloused, with black, low-topped, boots. All ranks will wear a white, crew neck, tee shirt under the coveralls. Alternatively, personnel are authorized to wear a solid-color, crew neck, tee shirt in a color that corresponds to their company. Consult with your local leadership for specific guidance.

Aerospace Wings and Space Warfare Badge

All ranks are authorized to wear embroidered versions of earned aerospace wings, and the appropriate embroidered space warfare pin, directly above the right pocket. If both are worn, the space warfare badge is always placed on the bottom. The wings and badges are embroidered silver (C1 - C10) or gold (C11 - C22), as appropriate, on standard size, navy blue name tape material.

Rank Insignia

To attach rank insignia to a uniform, it is recommended that the insignia first be sewn to a piece of navy blue felt. The felt should then be trimmed, leaving a small border which can then be used to sew the stripes to the coveralls. 1/4" is a recommended starting point. Not only does this technique provide a sharp look, but it will make attaching the insignia much easier, especially when multiple chevrons are necessary.

C1 to C8 - No Endorsement

Personnel in the grades of C-1 through C-8 will display the appropriate number of chevrons/rockers for their current rank on the left sleeve only. The rank should be affixed midway between the elbow and the bottom of the company patch.
