Shipboard Uniform: Royal Manticoran Merchant Marine

The shipboard uniform is an alternative uniform available to be worn for light duty, watch standing, or while performing organizational duties that would otherwise require a canon uniform or convention minimum. This uniform may be worn by all ranks and should be considered on par with the working uniform and convention minimum.

Uniform

Sweater

  • All ranks will wear a navy blue, "GI" or "Commando" style, military sweater. Regardless of style chosen, the sweater must have epaulets as well as fabric reinforcement patches about the shoulders and elbows.

Undershirt

C-1 through C-8

  • Personnel in the grades of C-1 through C-8 will wear a white, close fitting, mock turtleneck.

C-12 through C-23

  • Personnel in the grades of C-12 through C-23 may wear a white, close fitting, mock turtleneck or a white, mandarin collar, dress shirt. The dress shirt may be worn open or closed at the neck.

Trousers

C-1 through C-8 NO ENDORSEMENT

  • Personnel in the grades of C-1 through C-8 may wear gray uniform trousers or gray BDU type pants. A gray uniform belt with a gold military friction buckle should be worn if wearing trousers. A complementary colored military "rigger" style belt may be worn if wearing BDU type pants. If wearing gray uniform trousers; they are worn un-bloused with black, low-topped, boots. If wearing gray BDU type pants; they are worn bloused with black, low-topped, boots.

C-2 through C-8 WITH ENDORSEMENT

  • Personnel in the grades of C-2 through C-8 may wear gray uniform trousers or gray BDU type pants. A gray uniform belt with a gold military friction buckle should be worn if wearing trousers. A complementary colored military "rigger" style belt may be worn if wearing BDU type pants. If wearing gray uniform trousers; they are worn un-bloused with black, low-topped, boots. If wearing gray BDU type pants; they are worn bloused with black, low-topped, boots. Additionally, personnel holding an endorsement from the Deck Department, Engineering Department, Catering/Hotel Department, or the Medical Department will wear a 1.5" stripe down the outer seam of each trouser leg, beginning at the waist and terminating at the cuff. The color of the stripe is department specific.

C-12 through C-23

  • Personnel in the grades of C-12 through C-23 will wear navy blue uniform trousers with a navy blue uniform belt and a gold military friction buckle. The trousers are worn un-bloused with black, low-topped, boots or black, military style, low quarters.

Name Badge

C-1 through C-8 NO ENDORSEMENT

  • Personnel in the grades of C-1 through C-8 will wear a flight suit style name badge on the left breast. The name badge should be constructed from navy blue, Velcro backed, fabric and have a black merrowed edge. The name badge features the wearers LAST NAME, FIRST INITIAL, RANK, and ASSIGNMENT (omitting the prefix "RMMS") embroidered in silver. The name badge also features the RMMM logo embroidered in gold.

C-2 through C-8 WITH ENDORSEMENT

  • Personnel in the grades of C-2 through C-8 will wear a flight suit style name badge on the left breast. The name badge should be constructed from navy blue, Velcro backed, fabric and have a black merrowed edge. The name badge features the wearers LAST NAME, FIRST INITIAL, RANK, and ASSIGNMENT (omitting the prefix "RMMS") embroidered in silver. Additionally, personnel holding an endorsement from the Deck Department, Engineering Department, Catering/Hotel Department, or the Medical Department will display their departmental logo embroidered in gold.

C-12 through C-20

  • Personnel in the grades of C-12 through C-20 will wear a flight suit style name badge on the left breast. The name badge should be constructed from navy blue, Velcro backed, fabric and have a black merrowed edge. The name badge features the wearers LAST NAME, FIRST INITIAL, RANK, and ASSIGNMENT (omitting the prefix "RMMS") embroidered in gold. The name badge also features the appropriate company logo embroidered in color.

C-21 through C-23

  • Personnel in the grades of C-21 through C-23 will wear a flight suit style name badge on the left breast. The name badge should be constructed from navy blue, Velcro backed, fabric and have a black merrowed edge. The name badge features the wearers LAST NAME, FIRST INITIAL, and RANK embroidered in gold. The name badge also features a crown insignia embroidered in gold.

  • Personnel in the grades of C-1 through C-8 no not display any rank insignia.

C-12 through C-20

  • Personnel in the grades of C-12 through C-20 will wear navy blue, slip on, soft shoulder loops on each epaulet. The shoulder loops will feature the wearers department insignia in gold, as well as the wearers rank stripes in gold or silver, as appropriate. In the interest of space, the rank stripes should be scaled appropriate to the size of the shoulder loop.

C-21 through C-23

  • Personnel in the grades of C-21 through C-23 will wear navy blue, slip on, soft shoulder loops on each epaulet.
