Re: Non-Major Award Dates (Admiralty Order 1802-01)

As of the publication of this Order, the following is effective:

AO 1801-03 is rescinded and replaced with this Admiralty Order.

Non-Major Awards from Admiralty House and all other Commands will be issued four times a year as per the schedule in this Admiralty Order.

Non-Major Awards are defined as any award below the level or Monarch’s Thanks.

This AO does *not* change the issuing authority of the Awards, which remains the same as listed in the current Awards Manual.

Additionally, the role played by the Awards Coordinator for these Non-Major Awards, will be as follows:

-After you submit an award, the Awards Coordinator will review it within the time frames noted below.

-The Awards Coordinator will review the award to ensure it meets all the criteria for the award, will let the Issuing Authority know that the criteria are met. If they are not met, the Awards Coordinator will inform the Issuing Authority of this. It is still completely up to the Issuing Authority if they still wish to issue the Award, the Awards Coordinator only issues a recommendation.

-The Awards Coordinator could also recommend to the Issuing Authority that the Award could be upgraded. If so, it is still up to the Issuing Authority if they wish to upgrade it, in which case, they should resubmit the award using the Web Form to ensure it goes to the proper higher Issuing Authority.

As many of these awards contain multiple recipients, any which are being issued to three or more individuals at the same time, may be submitted to the Awards Coordinator in a Spreadsheet with the following information:

Name of Recipient

RMN # of Recipient

Qualifying Reason for the Award (Can be the same for the entire group)

Non-Major Awards:

Deadline for Submission: Three weeks after the qualifying event, and the Awards Office will then have two weeks to process

Announced on: At the discretion of the Issuing authority, but not more than two weeks after receiving it from the Awards Office.

Event Awards:
