Personnelman (abbrev PN) is an enlisted technical specialty or rating utilized by the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Description
Personnelmen (PN) provide enlisted personnel with information and counseling about Navy jobs, opportunities for general education and training, and promotion requirements. They assist enlisted members’ families with legal aid or reassignments in hardship situations. Personnel Specialists keep records up to date, prepare reports, type letters and maintain files.[1]
Historical Overview
The rating Personnelman was introduced by the United States Navy and merged with Disbursing Clerk on October, 1, 2005 to form the Personnel Specialist.[2] Personnel Specialists provide enlisted personnel with information and counseling about Navy jobs, opportunities for general education and training, and promotion requirements. They assist enlisted members’ families with legal aid or reassignments in hardship situations. Personnel Specialists keep records up to date, prepare reports, type letters and maintain files.[3]
