*This position is more commonly referred to as the Executive Officer (XO) in military and uniformed civilian chapters and Deputy Head of Posting (DHP) for civilian chapters.
Job Purpose
To serve as the second in command to the head of a chapter.
Duties
- Assist the CO in implementing the vision for the chapter.
- Oversee day to day activities of the Chapter.
- Mentor the crew of the chapter, ensure that all departments have proper guidance and are running efficiently.
- Ensure crew members in specific positions, meet the minimum training and promotion requirements.
- Organize events/chapter activities.
- Provide ideas to the CO and Crew on activities/events.
- Serve as the direct sounding board for the Commanding Officer.
- Participate in chapter meetings as requested by the Commanding Officer.
- Chapter Second in command, take over for the CO in his/her absence.
- Take some responsibilities off the CO's shoulders in maintaining leadership of the Chapter.
- Submit bi-monthly chapter report, in the CO's absence.
- Knowledge base regarding TRMN policies, procedures, and processes.
- Adhere to TRMN Code of Conduct.

- Solid understanding of TRMN policies, practices, and procedures.
- Strong familiarity with TRMN Forums, Discord, Facebook, email and other information sources.
- Creative thinking and analysis skills.
Qualifications
- Be a member in good standing in TRMN, attached to 1st Fleet
- Hold a minimum rank of O-2/C-12 be eligible for promotion by having completed the required coursework.
- Be compliant with the "two-hat" rule upon taking this position
- Commit to hold this position for a minimum of 12 months
- Complete and pass the TRMN Background Check (as required)
