BuShips Directive 2405-02 was issued on 29 May 2024 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new Commanding Officer to SMS Scharnhorst (SD-227).

Re:	Change of Command, SMS Scharnhorst (SD-227) (BuShips Directive 2405-02)

CC: Kapitän der Sterne Sir Nathan Balyeat, GCE, IAN, Commanding Officer, SMS Scharnhorst (SD-227)

Fregattenkapitän Longsdale: You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard SMS Scharnhorst (SD-227), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer, relieving Kapitän der Sterne Sir Nathan Balyeat, IAN, in service to the Empire. Fail not in this charge at your peril.

Based upon the requirements of the service for your new billet, you are hereby brevetted to the rank of Kapitän der Sterne, IAN.

The above directive is effective on this date, 29 May 2024.

The Bureau of Ships wishes to express appreciation and thanks to KdS Nathan Balyeat for his service as Commanding Officer of SMS Scharnhorst and wish him all success in his future endeavors.
