BuShips Directive 1909-03 was issued on 04 September 2019 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new commanding officer and executive officer for HMS Javelin (DD-264).

Ensign Thompson:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Javelin (DD-264), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer relieving Lieutenant Commander Thomas Erikson, RMN, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
The following personnel have been assigned to your command, are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Javelin (DD-264), there to take upon themselves the duties and responsibilities below:
- Lieutenant Commander Thomas Erikson, RMN (RMN-4080-16), is assigned as Executive Officer.
Based upon the requirements of the service for your new billet, you are hereby brevetted to the rank of LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, RMN.
The above directive is effective on this date, 04 September 19.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to express appreciation and thanks to Lieutenant Commander Erikson for his service as Commanding Officer of Javelin and wish him all success in as he turns over the ship to new leadership and assumes a mentoring role as her new Executive Officer.
