Re: Establishment of the Command Review Board (BuShips Directive 1801-02)

Attention:

To comply with the policy set forth within Admiralty Order 1711-03, the Bureau of Ships hereby establishes the Command Review Board (CRB) tasked with the execution of said policy.

The CRB shall be comprised of the Third Space Lord, Deputy Third Space Lord, and the Chief of Staff, along with two members from the Bureau of Training appointed by the Sixth Space Lord on a case-by-case basis.

Beginning 1 January 2018, all naval members wishing to be appointed to any role within a Command Triad (e.g. Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Ship's Bosun) shall stand before the Board for review, utilizing their Rank Exams as described in AO 1711-03. If clarification is required during vetting, prospective members may be subjected to additional questions by the Board before receiving final approval.

This Directive is not retroactive, and does not affect any personnel already or previously appointed to their current Triad position.

Questions on this Directive should be directed to the Office of the Third Space Lord.

The above order is effective on this date, 03 January 2018.

In Service to Her Majesty, the Sovereign Queen of the Star Kingdom of Manticore, Elizabeth III,
