Petty Officer Second Class (abbrev: PO2) is an enlisted paygrade within the Royal Manticoran Navy, the Grayson Space Navy, and the Republic of Haven Navy. It holds the equivalent military paygrade of E-6 within The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc.. A petty officer is never referred to by their rank, but rather their rate. So a Master-at-Arms who earned their second stripe would not be called "Petty Officer 2nd Class," but rather "Master-at-Arms's Mate 2nd Class."
