==History==
''Mercy'' was commissioned on 24 January 2014 under the command of then [[LCDR]] Ian Tregale. The Mercy was originally assigned to patrol the South East of England, this was amended with the launch of {{gns|Paul of Tarsus|DD-56}} to be South England and East Anglia. The ship is a frequent attendee of [[EasterCon]] as well as conventions local to its patrol area. 

The ship was decommissioned on 30 November 2016 for failure of the command triad to complete their rank courses. This was recommissioned under then-[[CAPT]] [[Lord]] Martyn Griffiths, [[GSN]], on 7 December 2016 with all the old crew re-joining the ship.

The ''Mercy'' was originally a part of [[DesDiv 413]] but was later moved to [[DesDiv 414]], which sits under [[DesRon 41]] as a part of 4th Fleet.
