Eighth Fleet

The Eighth Fleet is one of the numbered fleets within The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc.. Commanded by RADM Dan Brandow, from her flagship HMS Implacable, this fleet's area of operations includes the American states of Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, and Colorado.

History

The Eighth Fleet was established in 2011 with the Naval Directive 11FB-07 from the First Space Lord, FADM Lord Sir Scott Akers, to ADM Sir John Roberts, Baron New Mecklenburg to assume command of the fleet. HMS Anasazi formed in the Albuquerque area in February of 2012, under the command of ADM John Roberts.

Tenth Fleet has two large echelon forces assigned to it, Task Group 91.1 and Battlecruiser Squadron 96.

Task Group 91.1

TG 91.1 is under the command of CDRE James Jones, SC, OE, OG, GS, CGM, and patrols California.

Battle Squadron 2 (BatRon 2)

BatRon 2 is under the command of CDRE Sir Joseph Harney, KDE, and is assigned to Task Group 91.1. This Squadron is comprised of two Divisions of four Superdreadnoughts.

• HMS Revenge (SD-317) (Squadron Flagship), under the command of CAPTJG Theresa Hindle. Patrolling Sacramento, CA.
• HMS Medusa (SD-316) (Division Flagship), under the command of CAPTJG Erik Roberts, QBM. Patrolling San Francisco, CA.
• HMS Thunderer (SD-323) (Division Flagship), under the command of CAPTJG Sonja Thiede, SC, QBM. Patrolling Fresno, CA.
• HMS Intractable (SD-459), under the command of CAPTJG Jack Yeager. Patrolling Antioch, CA.

Battlecruiser Division 921 (BatCruDiv 921)

BatCruDiv 921 is under the command of CAPTSG Christopher Beilby, OR, and is assigned to Task Group 91.1.

• HMS Artemis (BC-592) (Division Flagship), under the command of CAPTSG Christopher Beilby, OR. Patrolling Santa Ana, CA.
• GNS Randolph Candless (BC-56), under the command of CAPT Aaron Davis, GSN. Patrolling Victorville, CA.

Battlecruiser Squadron 96 (BatCruRon 96)

BatCruRon 96 is under the command of CDRE Sir James Sena, QCB, KDE, CGM and patrols the Pacific Northwestern United States, and British Columbia. This Squadron is comprised of three Divisions of six Battlecruisers and two screening elements.

• HMS Black Rose (BC-520) (Squadron and Division Flagship), under the command of CAPTJG Dale Imbleau. Patrolling Portland, OR.
• GNS Madrigal (BC-13) (Division Flagship), under the command of CAPT Robert Demkiw, GSN. Patrolling Surrey, BC.
• HMS Andromeda (BC-571) (Division Flagship), under the command of CAPTJG Sir Patrick McKinnion, QCB, KE, GS. Patrolling Edmonds, WA.
• HMS Helen (BC-570), under the command of CAPTJG Duane Keitzmann. Patrolling Salem, OR.
• HMS Truculent (BC-591), under the command of CAPTJG Mir Plemmons. Patrolling Seattle, WA.
• HMS Callisto (BC-722), under the command of CAPT Jenni Merrifield, GSN. Patrolling Vancouver, BC.
• HMS Eardsidh Kamerling (CL-717), under the command of CDR Edward Newton. Patrolling Eltopia, WA.
• HMS Hellhound (DD-446), under the command of LCDR Sir Mark Gledhill, KE. Patrolling Nanaimo, BC.

Independent Units

The following units are not assigned to any echelon force within Tenth Fleet, and are considered to be independent:

• HMS Seljuk (SD-903), under the command of CAPT Garrett Littrell, RHN. Patrolling Kittitas, WA.

Former Echelons and Member Vessels

The following echelons were formerly assigned to the Tenth Fleet:

• Destroyer Division 231 - dissolved on 23 August 2016 when Roland upgraded to Intractable.

The following vessels were formerly assigned to the Tenth Fleet:

• HMS Cerberus (CLAC-42) - Crew merged with Wolf to commission Thunderer on 31 July 2016.
• HMS Merlin (CA-420) - Upgraded to recommission Artemis on 28 November 2015, Merlin has since recommissioned within Second Fleet.
• HMS Wolf (CA-429) - Crew merged with Cerberus to commission Thunderer on 31 July 2016.
• HMS Chainshot (DD-372) - Upgraded to commission Revenge on 27 August 2016.
• HMS Roland (DD-476) - Upgraded to commission Intractable on 23 August 2016.
• HMLAC Grimalkin (LAC-002) - Upgraded to Bedivere on 04 September 2012. Relaunched in Tenth Fleet again on 18 October 2015, and then upgraded to Bedivere on 28 November 2015.
• HMLAC Cochrane (LAC-010) - Decommissioned 1 June 2016 due to inactivity.
