BuShips Directive 2003-01 was issued on 6 March 2020 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive decommissions HMS Corax (LAC-036).

Re: Decommissioning of HMS Corax (LAC-036) (BuShips Directive 2003-01)


Lieutenant Moody:

Effective as of 0001 Hours on 07 March 2020, HMS Corax (LAC-036) is to immediately stand down all present assignments and/or missions and is subsequently ordered to return to HMSS Greenwich for decommissioning and crew transfer.

Upon arrival, you and your crew shall make HMS Corax (LAC-036) ready in all respects for decommissioning; strike eight bells, strike the colors and secure the watch. You are further ordered to relinquish command of HMS Corax (LAC-036) to the Bureau of Ships in the person of Sir Justin Dupras, RMN, who shall hold temporary command for the duration of the voyage to Manticore for processing and inspection.

The following personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMSS Greenwich (SS-001):

  • LTSG RJ Moody, RMN (RMN-6120-19)
  • CPO Tate Rivera, RMN (RMN-6123-19)
  • S2C Robert Hammock, RMN (RMN-6130-20)

In compliance with the requirements set forth in Naval Directive 17JA-01, the following personnel are reduced to their permanent ranks as follows:

Upon her successful arrival at Manticore, HMS Corax (LAC-036) is scheduled to be transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves, following inspection and any repairs deemed necessary. This vessel shall be made available for recommissioning at a later date.
