The '''Star Kingdom of Manticore''' (''abbrev'': '''SKM''') is a fictitious interstellar nation featured in [[David Weber|David Weber's]] [[Honorverse]] series of books.  

During the events of the series, the territory subject to the Manticoran crown expands and the SKM becomes the nucleus of the Star Empire of Manticore (SEM).   

==Monarch==
During the time period of the Honor Harrington series, the sovereign of the Star Kingdom was '''Queen Elizabeth III''', of the Winton dynasty that had ruled since the kingdom's founding.

As the [[Royal Manticoran Navy]] is the Senior Service of the SKM, most members of {{trmn}} (TRMN) portray Manticoran subjects, although they may also chose to roleplay as [[Grayson Space Navy|Grayson]], [[Imperial Andermani Navy|Andermani]], or [[Republic of Haven Navy|Havenite]] personae. 

Although the kingdom and its ruler are fictional, TRMN formal documents such as [[officer]]s' commissions and [[Peerage|patents of nobility]] are in the name of Her Majesty the Queen, which lends them in-universe flavor. The leadership of TRMN in the form of the [[Board of Directors]] and the [[Grand Alliance Joint Chiefs of Staff]] run the organization in the Queen's name.
===Loyal Toast===
At TRMN gatherings and dinners it is customary to give the Loyal Toast, and traditionally the most junior commissioned officer present is made to propose the toast:   

Proposer: "My Lords, Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the Loyal Toast.  I give you...The Queen!"

Response: "The Queen!"
