==History==
First commissioned in September of 2015, HMS ''Ares'' entered service under the command of Commander Larry Cameron out of Missouri City, Texas as part of Sixth Fleet.<ref name="BSD150903">[[BuShips Directive 1509-03]]</ref> This crew upgraded to the ''Apollo''-class hull from {{hmlac|Rising Star|LAC-009}}, which was subsequently returnd to the [[Royal Manticoran Reserve Fleet|Active Reserve]]. However, this appeared to be simply a stepping stone, as a mere nine months later, in June of 2016, {{hms|Titan|SD-160}} commissioned, consigning ''Ares'' to that same Active Reserve.<ref name="BSD160601">[[BuShips Directive 1606-01]]</ref>
