The Royal Manticoran Navy is a service of great responsibility and honour.<br />
It is our duty and our privilege to serve at her Majesty's pleasure<br />
protecting the spaceways and the citizens of our Star Kingdom. But it is<br />
also our responsibility to take the authority granted us to do so and<br />
utilize same with a sense of civility and respect for our subordinates,<br />
peers, and leaders as well as the non-uniformed personnel we are tasked to<br />
protect. Arrogance and condescending attitudes are neither helpful nor the<br />
true conduct of a Queen's Officer.<br />
<br />
Unlike other hobby organizations and enthusiast associations, the "Royal<br />
Manticoran Navy - the Official Honor Harrington Fan Organization", has as<br />
our paradigm, service in, or alongside the uniformed services of her<br />
Majesty's Armed Forces, and the members of same will conduct themselves with<br />
all due respect to that which we are attempting to emulate. Because of the<br />
medium most of us utilize to communicate with each other, the Internet, we<br />
must always be aware how our tone may come across differently then intended.<br />
This can lead to conflict and strife not intended, and must be avoided.<br />
<br />
Therefore, ALL members of the Royal Manticoran Navy WILL conduct themselves<br />
in their interactions with any other members of the organization, and/or<br />
while in an official capacity with non-members, as if they were addressing<br />
the Sovereign herself. Every member and potential member deserves our<br />
respect and civility.<br />
<br />
As of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the<br />
Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby state that the above<br />
will be the policy of the Royal Manticoran Navy, effective 25-FEB-11.<br />
