A [[Field Army]] is the [[Royal Manticoran Army]] equivalent of a [[fleet]], consisting of all [[chapter]]s located in a [[Naval District|Military District]]. The [[Royal Manticoran Marine Corps]] equivalent, consisting of all RMMC units located within a [[Naval District]], is the [[Expeditionary Force]].<br />

Each district has a fort headquarters, with the same name as the coterminous fleet (e.g. 2nd Field Army HQ is Fort Gryphon, and [[2nd Fleet]] is known as "Gryphon Fleet.")<br />

The term may also be used as a "Level 4" multi-chapter formation echelon, consisting of a minimum of 16 chapters in a district.<ref>[[Adjutant General Order 2412-01]]</ref><br />
