BuTrain offers a multitude of courses on subjects including TRMN, the Honorverse, and real-world subjects that relate to them.<br /> <br /> There are a couple of questions that are often asked. Why take courses through BuTrain? Why are they required for rank advancement? Here are some answers to those questions, and ways that participation in Butrain courses can be helpful.<br /> <br /> :1. Many courses, but especially the Introduction to TRMN series, provide information that every member should know about how TRMN works, and how to get the most enjoyment out of your participation. Whether you’re a new member learning these things for yourself, or a chapter leader looking for information to help your members, these courses are invaluable.<br /> <br /> :2. Completing courses provides another way to engage with and enjoy the Honorverse. By gaining knowledge about the history, science, and leadership that David Weber includes in all of the stories he writes, you can better understand and enjoy the stories, characters and ideas in the Honorverse.<br /> <br /> :3. Leadership courses that will help you to learn more about good leadership, management, and most of all, collaborative communication with others. These skills are essential for those in leadership positions within TRMN. The goal of these courses is to help you be the best leader you can be.<br /> <br /> :4. Participation with BuTrain is a great way to meet people that you would not meet through activity with your chapter. While educating yourself, and taking on the challenges of the coursework, you will interact with the instructors. These dedicated staff members are spread across the globe. Many of them are also involved in leadership of the organization at higher levels. If you want to move up in the organization, participation in BuTrain courses can help you make connections with people who could be helpful in that effort.<br /> <br /> :5. Through completing courses, you can become eligible for various awards, honor societies, and other forms of recognition. In addition to the recognition that comes with these awards, they can also provide a sense of personal accomplishment. All of that can be a rewarding and fun way to be more involved in TRMN.<br /> <br /> BuTrain’s main purpose is to see that TRMN members have fun. The RMMC Training Command is run by the Commandant who acts as a liaison for the Commandant of the RMMC directly to the Sixth Space Lord. KR1MA consists of an Enlisted Training Center, Officer Training Center, War College, and Branch/Army Occupational Specialty College.
