The Order of Gallantry (abbrev. OG) is the third level of decoration for gallantry in combat. It is awarded only to commissioned and warrant officers of the Royal Manticoran Navy and the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps.
In canon, known recipients include Rafael Cardones<ref>"On Basilisk Station"</ref>, Honor Harrington, Alistair McKeon<ref>"On Basilisk Station"</ref>, Prescott 'Scotty' Tremaine<ref>"On Basilisk Station"</ref>, and Andreas Venizelos<ref>"On Basilisk Station"</ref>.
The equivalent level decoration awarded to qualifying Royal Manticoran Army officers is the Medal of Gallantry.
TRMN Information
This award is the second lowest award for gallantry issued in the Royal Manticoran Navy. This award is only available to officers and warrant Officers in the RMN and RMMC. The criteria for this award is exceptional service to the RMN or and RMMC in general, either by a) demonstrating consistently outstanding performance over time, or b) by performing a particular task or service to a high standard of excellence above and beyond the call of duty, but not enough to qualify for the Saganami Cross. The recipient is entitled to the post nominal letters of ‘OG’.<ref name="aman">TRMN Awards Manual 2014 Edition</ref>
