The meeting was called to order at 2108 AST.

Agenda Item 1:

There were no opening remarks made by the Chair. Roll Call was completed.

Agenda Item 2:

A motion was made to approve the minutes from the September meeting. This motion was seconded, and the Secretary called for a vote by acclimation. There were no objections, and the minutes were approved unanimously.

Agenda Item 3:

Divisional branch reports were sent before the meeting for review by the Steering Committee. All Voting and Ex-Officio Member Branch Heads submitted component reports. There was no need for discussion. A comment was made that the Steering Committee Google Group mailer needed to be updated as some members were not receiving the minutes, this was referred to the Committee Chairman as he would need to get the permissions from the former Committee Chairman.

Agenda Item 4:

The Committee voted on the following replacements due to retirements:

Laura Lochen nominated Michael Romero to be the new First Space Lord. The Secretary conducted a roll call vote. The tally was 9 AYE, 1 ABSENT. Michael Romero was confirmed as the new First Space Lord effective 31 December 2024.
David Westover nominated Sam Dietzman to be the new Commandant of the Imperial Andermani Navy. The Secretary conducted a roll call vote. The tally was 9 AYE, 1 ABSENT. Sam Dietzman was confirmed as the new Commandant of the Imperial Andermani Navy effective 15 January 2025.
Wayne Bruns nominated Garret Bitker to be the new Home Secretary. The Secretary conducted a roll call vote. The tally was 8 AYE, 1 ABSATAIN, 1 ABSENT. Garret Bitker was confirmed as the new Home Secretary effective 5 January 2025.

Agenda Item 5:

The Steering Committee considered a motion to amend the Awards Policy to include a provision to withdraw an award nomination. There was a brief discussion, and the Secretary called a roll call vote. The tally was 9 AYE, 1 ABSENT. The motion PASSED and was reflected on the wiki.

Agenda Item 6:

There was no discussion needed on the eight (8) AWM items voted on since the September meeting that were included in the agenda. The AWM items were confirmed by acclamation vote. There were no objections.

Agenda Item 7:

The Chairman of the Steering Committee was promoted. The Secretary held previously held a Flag Promotion Board without the Chairman’s knowledge. The tally vote was 10 AYE. The Chairman was promoted effective 17 November 2024. Eric Shulman brought a bill regarding election procedure for the House of Commons. There was a brief discussion and a vote was called. The tally was 9 AYE, 1 ABSENT. The bill was passed and Speaker Shulman was advised he could begin using the new election procedure as soon as convenient. The appropriate wiki documents were updated to reflect the change.

Agenda Item 8:

The secretary recapped his “do-outs” from the meeting.

Agenda Item 9:

The January meeting was tabled due to the pending membership changes and taken as an Action Without Meeting. Later, after some discussion offline, it was decided that the January Meeting would be held on Sunday, January 19 at 1900 EST.

The Chair noted that there were no closing comments! The meeting was adjourned at 2247 AST.
