The Institute for TRMN Leadership Studies (ITLS) offers courses that have been developed by specific bureaus or organizational structures within TRMN that better prepare members to take on certain functional roles or billets within the organization. Some of these courses are not available to the general membership, while others are not offered directly through BuTrain. Bureaus will make these courses available on an ‘as needed’ basis only to eligible members.
Other courses, like ‘Intro to TRMN’, are not only available to everyone, but we actively encourage every single TRMN member to take them. The list of courses below is what is currently offered. Many more will be added in the coming months.
Introduction to TRMN 1, 2, 3
Introduction to TRMN 1, 2, 3 is a three-part course sequence specifically designed to act as the entryway into TRMN for all new members, and is intended to guide members through how we work as an organization. The courses will introduce you to our organizational structure, our rank system, how we do cosplay and uniforming, our Code of Conduct, how we communicate, our awards program, and a host of other really important information that will allow you to quickly integrate into TRMN. The courses are video-based, with each short segment being followed by a few, simple follow-on questions. Many questions are already hyperlinked to various electronic TRMN resources and sites so that you will be able to bookmark these and find them again in the future. Bureau Courses
Bureau courses are specific to the needs of each of the bureaus in TRMN. These courses re-listed below, but may only be available to certain staff of a Bureau, or other specific individuals, or they may be widely available.

TRMN Functional Courses
TRMN functional courses are designed to cover knowledge or training that is relevant to a billet or role in TRMN itself and will have little to no Honorverse content. Some of these courses may be required to serve in particular billets, strongly recommended for other billets, or done for personal enrichment. Courses may be external, and function identically to the GPU Advanced Leadership external courses, or internal and follow the usual BuTrain course-taking process.
