My understanding is that (in canon) Flight Ops (purple uniform trim) is a separate department from Astrogration (blue). Should this not then be nine departments? TRMN may group them together for BuTrain purposes, but they are separate departments. JNeitz (talk) 13:43, 13 October 2016 (PDT)
- This article is speaking specifically in context of the TRMN BuTrain grouping. I'm sure we could discuss shipboard departments on a separate article and draw comparisons there. --
