Formal Dress Uniform: Royal Manticoran Merchant Marine

The formal dress uniform is reserved exclusively for personnel in the grades of C-18 through C-23, and is worn for the most formal of duties. It is the service equivalent of civilian formal wear or Court attire. It is authorized in two varieties; Class A, and Class B.

The Class A uniform is the most formal, worn with the RMMM naval sword and gold bullion shoulder boards. The Class B uniform is slightly less formal, omitting the sword and the gold bullion shoulder boards in favor of standard RMMM shoulder boards.

The RMMM uses the RMN naval sword, which is modeled after Admiral Horatio Nelson's Fighting Spadroon. Due to the unique nature of the sword, personal substitutions are NOT authorized per Admiralty House and Bureau Nine.
