HMS Helen Zilwicki (CA-548) is a Saganami-C-class Heavy Cruiser within Active Reserves.
History
Helen Zilwicki was first brought into commission on 02 June 2014 under the command of CAPTJG Joseph Morgan in Third Fleet by order of BuShips. This was a ship upgrade for the crew of HMS Devastation in Chesapeake, Virginia. After Captain Morgan's behavior at MarsCon 2015, the XO, Joseph Lyons, was promoted to command. She has participated in many Fleet Events, including MarsCon, HonorCon, and others. However, due to the spread-out nature of the Hampton Roads region, it was thought better to create a LAC Carrier, allowing smaller groups in their geographic regions to have their own identity. So the crew upgraded to HMS Specter on 06 May 2015 and Zilwicki was placed in Reserve status.
Eventually, the Zilwicki was pulled out of Active Reserve on 01 November 2015 and relocated in Eighth Fleet, when HMS Jonas Adcock decided to split into two ships: the western suburbs remaining on the Adcock, while the rest of SLC became HMS Helen Zilwicki, forming CruDiv 801 under the command of CDRE Eddy Roberts. They currently attend Salt Lake City Comic Con as their Fleet event. When their sister ship, HMS Jonas Adcock, was threatened by the demotion of their command staff, Roberts decided to combine both ships into HMS Siren.
