HMS Claymore (CA-51) is a Broadsword-class Heavy Cruiser in the Eighth Fleet. Claymore claims Tucson, Arizona as her charter city, but claims the Phoenix East Valley and the southern half of the American state of Arizona as its operating area.

History

Claymore was first brought into commission on 29 July 2014 under the command of CAPTJG Marcus Johnston, by order of BuShips. Claymore claimed Tempe, Arizona as her charter city, but claimed the entire American state of Arizona as its operating area. Her crew was formerly assigned to HMS Condor and upgraded to this new vessel. She has participated in one Fleet Events, LepreCon 2015, before she was decommissioned on 27 April 2016 when the ship was upgraded again to HMS Claymore (BC-618), a Battlecruiser of the same name.

Claymore was recommissioned on 22 April 2017 under the command of CAPTJG Michael Naron, when the previous battlecruiser was split into two heavy cruisers to form a new division. Now based out of Tucson, Arizona, it represents the majority of TRMN in Arizona. When BRGEN George Farmer was picked to command the RMMC Academy in mid-2018, he surrendered command of the MarDet to CPL John Curtis.
