HMS Avalon (CL-395) is an Avalon-class Light Cruiser within Tenth Fleet. Commanded by CDR Sir Mark Gledhill, RMN, Avalon claims Nanaimo, British Columbia as her charter city.

History

Avalon was first brought into commission on 01 January 2015 under the command of then-CDRE Dan Brandow, by order of BuShips. They operated out of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Eventually, the crew transferred to HMS Implacable on 20 November 2015, returning the Avalon to the Reserve Fleet. She was recommissioned on 30 September 2016 and relocated to Tenth Fleet. The ship has participated in multiple Fleet Events, such as VCon, and OryCon.
