GNS Joshua (DD-18)

GNS Joshua (DD-18) is a Joshua-class Destroyer in Fourth Fleet. Commanded by LCDR Derek Souter, RMN, Joshua is a chapter that patrols Scotland. It has a forum section here. It has a facebook group here.

History

Joshua was commissioned on 16 March 2015 under the command of then LCDR Neil Simpson. The Joshua was assigned to patrol Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland and to lead on recruitment in these areas. The ship is a frequent attendee of EasterCon as well as conventions local to its patrol area. After expanding enough to split, Joshua restricted its patrol to Scotland, and a new ship GNS Olympus (CL-58) was formed to take over Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The Joshua is a part of DesDiv 413, which sits under DesRon 41 as a part of 4th Fleet.
