Eighth Fleet Order 1602-02 was issued 02 February 2016 under the authority of the 8th Fleet Commanding Officer. It awards Monarch's Thanks for services done for the RMN at Salt Lake City Comic Con.

Order Text

AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT

We have been waiting to get approval for an award and now have it! It is my pleasure to announce that another deserving member of 8th Fleet has been summoned to the Palace to receive the:

MONARCH’S THANKS

to Captain, junior grade J. Eddy Roberts

For his efforts in obtaining (with his own funds) and staffing a VERY successful booth at the Salt Lake City Comic Con last year. First, Capt. Roberts paid for the space out of his own pocket ($150). Second, he spent at least 80% of his time during the weekend manning the recruiting table by himself. Third, when he wasn't personally manning the table, he remained "On Call" to help out in any way that he could. Fourth and finally, due to his excellent portrayal of Her Majesty's Armed Forces in general, and Her Majesty's Royal Manticoran Navy in particular, he recruited enough people to launch a new ship in the region plus a number of other contacts that may congeal together to form yet another ship.
