BuTrain Directive BD 004-17 was issued 24 July 2017 under the authority of the Sisth Space Lord. Directive consolidates the Communications Office with the Development & Training Office of BuTrain.

This BuTrain Directive supersedes and replaces BD-002-17, Development and Training Office. The changes include incorporation of additional communication duties.

Created under the Sixth Space Lord is the new Development and Communication Office. This office will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all BuTrain exam development and review, ensuring all BuTrain exams are consistent, coordinating the hiring and training of all BuTrain staff, coordinating all communication and manual and document updates, and ensuring the BuTrain dispute resolution process is fair and equitable. The office will be headed by a Director and Assistant Director and include three offices, the Development and Compliance Office, the Training and Communication Office, and the Dispute Resolution Office.

Director, BuTrain Development and Communication Office: The Director of the Development and Communication Office reports to the 6SL and Deputy 6SL and is responsible for overseeing all BuTrain exam development and review, ensuring all BuTrain exams are consistent, coordinating the hiring and training of all BuTrain staff, and ensuring the BuTrain dispute resolution process is fair and equitable.

• Manager, Development and Compliance Office. The Manager of the Development and Compliance Office reports to the Director of the Development and Comunication Office and is responsible for overseeing all exam development, review, and updating, and ensuring all exams BuTrain-wide are consistent and comply with BuTrain policies and procedures.

• • Development Officer. The Development Officer reports to the Manager of the Development and Compliance Office and assists with BuTrain-wide exam development.

• • Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer reports to the Manager of the Development and Compliance Office and works to establish and maintain exam format and ensures all exams are in a consistent format.

• Manager, Training and Communication Office. The Manager of the Training and Communication Office reports to the Director of the Development and Communication Office and is responsible for overseeing all BuTrain hiring and ensuring all faculty and staff are properly trained and all new hiring steps are complied with. The Manager also coordinates all updates and BuTrain documents, including all manuals and forms, and coordinates all email and website updates with the Bureau of Communication.

• • Hiring Coordinator. The Hiring Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Training and Communication Office and coordinates BuTrain-wide hiring.

• • Training Coordinator. The Training Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Training Office and works to ensure all faculty and staff are properly trained.

• • • Trainers. BuTrain Trainers reports to the Training Coordinator and conduct faculty and staff training.

• Manager, Dispute Resolution Office. The Manager of the Dispute Resolution Office reports to the Director of the Development and Communication Office and is responsible is responsible for managing BuTrain’s dispute resolution process.

• • Member, Dispute Resolution Team. The Dispute Resolution Team will consist of 6 permanent members selected by the 6SL, Deputy 6SL, Director of the Development and Training Office, and the Manager of the Dispute Resolution Office from BuTrain faculty and staff.
