Cum Laude Member
Average grade of at least 90%.
Magna Cum Laude Member
All grades of at least 90%.
Summa Cum Laude Member
All grades of 100%.

Creator and Beta-Tester grades count as 100% for the purposes of calculating these averages; however, beta-testing a new version of a course will not change an existing grade for that course.

Students become members at the highest level earned (either RMN or GSN).

The Ellen D'Orville Society

Membership in the Ellen D'Orville Society is offered to those of the Grand Alliance who have completed all of the RMN or GSN Officer Courses (0101 through 0106, and GPU-ALC-0113 and 0115). Advanced levels of membership are offered to those who have also completed all RMN or GSN Flag Officer Courses (1001 through 1005 for RMN or 1000 through 1005 for GSN, and GPU-ALC-1111 and 1112). There are four levels in the Ellen D’Orville Society:

Member
Grades for all eight Officer courses of at least 70%.
Cum Laude Member
Average Officer grade of at least 90%.
Magna Cum Laude Member
Average Officer grade of at least 95% and completion of Flag Officer courses (seven for RMN and eight for GSN) with an average grade of at least 90%
Summa Cum Laude Member
All Officer grades 100% and average Flag Officer grade of at least 95%

Creator and Beta-Tester grades count as 100% for the purposes of calculating these averages; however, beta-testing a new version of a course will not change an existing grade for that course.

SIA-RMN-0113 and 0115 (both now discontinued) may be used in place of the equivalent GPU courses listed above. If a student has a grade for both the RMN and GPU version of a course, the higher grade is used in calculating membership level.

The 32 Club

The purpose of the 32 Club is to recognize those members who have completed the available curriculum in the SIA Technical Specialties College. Within the Technical Specialties College, there are a substantial number of courses across a wide set of specialties. Most students take a few courses in the field(s) that they are interested in role playing or focus on the courses that will get them their Space Warfare Pin. However, a few students fully complete the entire curriculum.

There are currently 105 SIA TSC courses (A, C, and D, not counting W) available. The successful completion of the numerous specialty courses across that wide a range of fields is an achievement that should be celebrated and recognized. The 32 Club is named in recognition of the number of courses available at the time of its creation. This will not change as courses get added into TSC but remain as a mark of that point in time. The 32 Club is open to all who have completed the full curriculum in SIA TSC (at the time they apply) regardless of branch and has two levels:

Silver
Requirements: Complete all A, C, and D courses in the SIA TSC.
Gold
Requirements: Complete all SIA TSC D courses, and at least one W project in each of the following areas:
  1. Command: Boatswain, Master-at-Arms, Operations, Intelligence
  2. Administration: Personnelman, Yeoman, Navy Counselor
  3. Logistics: Storekeeper, Disbursing Clerk, Ship's Serviceman, Steward
  4. Tactical: Fire Control, Electronic Warfare, Tracking, Sensor, Missile, Beam Weapons, Gunner
  5. Engineering: Impeller, Power, Gravitics, Environmental, Hydroponics, Damage Control
  6. Communications: Data Systems, Electronics, Communications
  7. Astrogation: Flight Operations, Helmsman, Plotting, Quartermaster of the Watch
  8. Medical: Corpsman, Sick Berth Attendant, Surgeon

If in the future courses are added to the TSC, existing members will automatically be grandfathered through at their current level. However, if they wish to apply for a higher level, they must have completed the full requirements (at the time of their upgrade application) for that level.

All members may purchase and wear the 32 Club pin through BuSup as an emblem of their achievement. However, this is not an approved uniform item so it may not be worn on a TRMN uniform.

The Chancellor Rosebud Society (IAN)

The Chancellor Rosebud Society is an academic society within the Bureau of Training under the Prinz Adalbert Marine Akademie (PAMA).  The purpose of the Society is to recognize those members who have completed training to a high standard and broad ranging degree of achievement. The Society is named for the one-time Chancellor of the Andermani Empire and a reminder that a good education is the key to a strong and prosperous Empire.

Overview

Membership in the Chancellor Rosebud Society is offered to those members of the Grand Alliance who have completed enlisted, officer, and/or flag courses at the Prinz Adalbert Marineakademie (PAMA-IAN-0001 through PAMA-IAN-1005). There are two tiers to the Society. The upper tier is for membership in the Society itself. It has 5 membership levels, which are based on both the number of course completions as well as the quality of achievement on each. The lower tier is made up of three Orders of Merit (one each for enlisted, officer, and flag courses) with three membership levels within each Order. You must become a member of the Society prior to being eligible for entry into one of the three Orders.

Chancellor Rosebud Society Membership

Entry into and the overall level of membership in the Society is determined by a point system. For each rank course completed, the student earns 1 point for passing, 2 points for honors, and 3 points for high honors. Upon earning at least six points, an individual may apply to be entered into the Society. Thereafter, they can apply to be promoted to the next higher level of the Society as additional points are earned.

  • 50 pts – Grand Rose
  • 43 pts – 1st Class
  • 34 pts – 2nd Class
  • 26 pts – 3rd Class
  • 17 pts – 4th Class
  • 6 pts – Initiate

This system reinforces the idea that by increasing your education you bring increasing honor to the Empire and to your family.

For the purposes of membership in the Chancellor Rosebud Society, points will be awarded for all six courses in the GPU-ALC sequence, as if they were PAMA courses.

Orders of Merit

Upon completion of all courses within each rank school, a member of the Society is eligible to become a member of the Order of Merit for that school. You must become a member of the Society prior to being eligible for entry into one of the three Orders. Each order has 3 levels: Komtur (Commander) (bronze), Meister (Master) (silver), and Marschall (Marshal) (gold). Anyone who has received at least Passing in all coursework for that school can apply to be inducted as a Komtur of that order, those who receive at least Honors in all coursework for that school can apply to be inducted as a Meister, while anyone who achieves High Honors in all coursework for that school can apply to be inducted as a Marschall for that order.

Completion of all 6 Enlisted courses
Orden vom Schwarzen Adler (Order of the Black Eagle)
Completion of all 6 Officer courses
Orden vom Roten Adler (Order of the Red Eagle)
