BuShips Directive 2001-18 was issued on 27 January 2020 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new Bosun for HMS Barbarossa (DD-551).

Senior Chief Petty Officer Meinert:

You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Barbarossa (DD-551), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Chief of the Boat (Bosun), relieving Chief Petty Officer Matthew Prescott, RMN, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.

The above directive is effective on this date, 27 January 2020.

The Bureau of Ships wishes to express appreciation and thanks to Chief Petty Officer Prescott for his service as Bosun of Barbarossa and wish him all success in his future endeavors.
