BuShips Directive 1808-09 was issued 20 August 2018 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive changes command for HMS Valkyrie (SD-355).

Commodore Miyake-Jima:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Valkyrie (SD-355), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer, relieving CAPTJG Daniel Stiglich, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
Based upon the requirements of the service for your new billet and the limitations it also suggests, we are approving your request for a voluntary rank reduction to CAPTAIN (SG), RMN.
Additionally, you are further directed to make the following appointments to your command staff:
- PO3 Stephanie Berlien, GSN (RMN-2713-16) is appointed as BOSUN and breveted to CHIEF PETTY OFFICER, GSN.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank and acknowledge the service of CAPTJG Stiglich as the former Commanding Officer of HMS Valkyrie and SMCPO Craig Meyer for his service as the former Bosun of HMS Valkyrie.
