BuShips Directive 1611-19 was issued 29 November 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive changes the command staff for HMS Gryphon (SD-153).

Commander Kaplan:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS GRYPHON (SD-153), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
Per BuShips and BuPers policy, you are brevetted to the rank of CAPTAIN (JG), RMN, for this billet.
Additionally, the following personnel are appointed under your command in the related capacities:
- ENS Christina Swanson, RMN, is appointed as EXECUTIVE OFFICER, and is brevetted to the rank of COMMANDER, RMN.
The above orders are effective on this date, 29 November 2016.
