BuShips Directive 1609-01 was issued 6 September 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It appoints command staff of HMS Bedivere (DD-486).

Lieutenant Commander Simpson:
By the authority of the Third Space Lord, Admiral of the Green Lord Sir John Roberts, KDE, SC, OR, Earl New Mecklenburg, the following personnel are to be assigned and/or breveted accordingly:
- PO2 Bill West, RMN, is hereby appointed as Executive Officer and is breveted to the rank of LIEUTENANT (SG), RMN.
- S2C Kyle Joint, RMN, is hereby appointed as Ship's Bosun and is breveted to the rank of CHIEF PETTY OFFICER, RMN.
The above orders are effective on this date, 6 September 2016.
