BuShips Announcement 1912-01 was issued on 20 December 2019 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This announcement is for the release of the new Commanding Officers' Manual.

Ladies and Gentleman of the Grand Alliance, and all subjects wherein.
It is my pleasure to announce the completion and release of the Commanding Officers’ Manual, presented by the Bureau of Ships. This guide was re-written, from scratch, in order to provide a nexus of all the information pertaining to the duties of Commanding Officers of all Ships within the Grand Alliance. Although this is geared towards Commanding Officers and their command teams, there is a plethora of ideas and information that would be helpful to all members in the organization. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to browse through it.
This manual also lays out the process for creating, commissioning, and operating a chapter, to include all the steps that a team must take, and what our general flow is regarding said chapter creation. Hopefully this will allow us all to work more smoothly, and have less surprises down the road.
Additionally, it was decided to create the manual in Wiki format, as to allow us to more quickly update information as needed whenever shifts in policy occur. This allows us to have a quicker turnaround when it comes to getting the new information in there, and help apply new policies and doctrines to chapter operations.
