Army Directive 2201-04 was issued 01 Jan 2022 under the authority of the Marshal of the Army. It ended the Home Guard program, and updated chapter naming conventions and reporting requirements.

Order Text

To: All Officers and Enlisted of the Royal Manticoran Army
From: Field Marshal John Brice, Jr., QCB, GCE, KR, MG, GS, QBM
Re: Home Guard Termination, Changes to Chapter Naming and Reporting Requirements (AD-2201-04))

AD-2201-04.A

Home Guard Program Termination As of the date of this Order, the Home Guard Program is no longer in effect. However, the Colonel of the Regiment program is still active. This amends the “Home Guard Units” portion of Army Directive 2110-01 and rescinds Army Directive 05-1401.

Redefining Colonels of the Regiment under this new system: Peers may sponsor existing chapters of the Royal Manticoran Army with the permission of the chapter CO. They may wear the RMA uniform and insignia of a Colonel once they are appointed. Irrespective of current rank the individual is addressed as "Colonel.”

AD-2201-04.B

New Chapter Naming Policy As of the date of this Order, all chapters shall no longer have numbers attached to their names nor will they have unit designation sizes as part of their nomenclature. For example: The 9th Crimson Sands Aerospace Wing is now simply the Crimson Sands Aerospace Unit. All Aerospace chapters will go by their name followed by “Aerospace Unit.” This policy affects current and future chapters. The only exception will be the 1st Regiment of Foote as the RMA's historical chapter.

Reporting Requirements

Schedule: Bimonthly - Jan, March, May, July, Sept, November.

Due: 1st of the month. Late: 10th of the month.

Missing two consecutive reporting periods (4 months). Warning.

Missing a third consecutive month may result in decommissioning.

Note: If a brevet was authorized as part of commissioning.

Any CO that misses three reporting periods within their first year as CO will be reduced to their permanent rank and removed from the position. Every attempt to find an appropriate replacement will be made in order to save the chapter before final decommissioning is approved.

The above orders are effective as of January 1, 2022.

In Service to Her Majesty, the Sovereign Queen of the Star Kingdom of Manticore, Elizabeth III,

Field Marshal John Brice, Jr., QCB, GCE, KR, MG, GS, QBM
