Army Directive 01-1701 was issued 30 March 2017 under the authority of the Marshal of the Army. It establishes the Combat Infantry Badge program and details the requirements of it for the Royal Manticoran Army.

As of the date of this Directive, by my hand, and by the authority grand unto me by our Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth III, of the Star Kingdom of Manticore; the following requirements for award of the Combat Infantry Badge are implemented in recognition for outstanding service to the Royal Manticoran Army.

Issued By: Chief of Staff, Royal Manticoran Army Frequency: Once per lifetime Issued For: Acknowledgement of participation in ground combat action, having been personally present and under direct hostile enemy fire in the official capacity as a Soldier in the Royal Manticoran Army. This is to show that the Soldier has demonstrated active participation across many aspects of the Royal Manticoran Army and TRMN as a whole by meeting or exceeding the requirements and qualifications listed below.

Qualifications

The Combat Infantry Badge shall be awarded to any Soldier in the Royal Manticoran Army or military personnel of the Grand Alliance assigned to an Army installation or unit in a support capacity when that Soldier reaches a total of twenty (20) points in qualifications in the four categories below, with the provision that no more than ten (10) points may come from any single category:
