Re: Forums and Facebook (Admiralty Order 1711-02)

As of the publication of this Order, the following is effective:

The Forums are TRMN’s Official place for communication. This is where all the business discussions of are to take place, and will do so going forward. This includes Award Announcements, Promotion, Admiralty Orders, questions up the chain of command, questions for the Bureaus, Official Questions for the Prime Minister in the Houses of Lords and Commons, Elections of Members of Parliament, and any other communication deemed to be business related by the Royal Council or Space Lords.

It is understood by Admiralty House that the Forums are not popular, however, as they were established at a request from above the Royal Council Level, they will not be going away. It is time for a small change, and this Admiralty Order will bring that change about.

By January 1, 2018, every Command Triad, Bureau, or single member units, must have at least one member of their command triad, or in the case of single member units, the single member, on the forums, and actively participating. Actively participating is defined as at least one post per month.

This will be audited by BuComm and BuPers by no later than January 31, 2018.

If this stipulation is met by January 31, 2018, Chapter & Fleet Pages on Facebook will be authorized to again open up to the public. The main TRMN Facebook group will open up to the public, and the Facebook Announcements and Orders Page will open to the public, but will remain on complete moderation.

Any Chapter that does not meet this will have their Chapter name shared with all local CO’s and Fleet Commanders to enable the Chapter to garner assistance in getting on the forums. This will also delay the release of the Facebook pages until February 28, 2018. Any Chapter that does not have at least one member of their command triad, or in the case of single member units, the single member, on the forums, and actively participating, by February 28, 2018 will be have the Command Triad replaced, or, if no replacement can be found, decommissioned.

Additionally, all members must be actively encouraged to join the Forums to ensure information is shared with as many members as possible. Remember, any message posted on the Forums has 100% reach to those TRMN members on the Forums. This is a request, but, to ensure as many members get information disseminated from the Chain of Command, it behooves all members to at least be on the Forums and check them on a monthly basis.

Any questions on this Admiralty Order should be addressed to the Office of the First Lord of the Admiralty as the Authority for this topic.
