This Admiralty Order officially replaces [[Admiralty Order 1102-13|1102-13]].

'''HMS Unconquered Crew'''
This is a list, by Type, of the composition of the various Commands in the RMN; this information is expressed as the minimum number of crew and officers for each ship type as well as the maximum size for each ship type based upon Honorverse Canon for that type.

Issued in recognition of outstanding service to the RMN or RMMC.
Please note, as a chapter grows above the minimums for each type of ship, they may commission additional officers so long as the proper ratio of officer to enlisted is maintained for that ship. The RMN hereby establishes the officer to enlisted ratio as 1 officer for every 4 enlisted members (20 % officers).

Honorees will be assigned to the crew of the HMS Unconquered in orbit around Manticore. While only a ceremonial post, it is a great honor to be selected to serve as crew for this honored and distinguished vessel. Crew members of HMS Unconquered can be of any rank and are assigned as permanent crew for this honored vessel. They can choose to have this duty station reflected on their ID Card instead of their normal Chapter. HMS Unconquered Crew are also entitled to wear the HMS Unconquered horseshoe above their ship/duty station patch on their uniforms.
It is known that virtually all ships will have a higher ratio at Commissioning than the 20% maximum, this is allowable as minimum requirements for the type must be met. However, as a chapter grows larger, it must adhere to the 20% ratio for all growth above minimum numbers. For example, a Light Cruiser Commissions with minimum numbers (3 officers and 5 crew) and has an amazingly successful recruitment event at a local convention; they can then commission additional officers as long as they stay within the ratio (if they grow to 20 crew members, they could commission an additional officer).

Nomination to the Crew of the HMS Unconquered shall be by your Commanding Officer or above only. The nomination must demonstrate a high quality and level of service to the Organization as a whole. Just performing your normal Chapter duties would not qualify you for this award.

The RMMC Commandant names RMMC members to the crew of the HMS Unconquered.

The Annual Captain of the HMS Unconquered is entitled to wear the white beret of a hyper-capable ship command during their tour as Annual Captain; however, if both the Annual Captain and Permanent Captain of HMS Unconquered are attending the same con or event, it is STRONGLY suggested and encouraged that the Annual Captain NOT wear the White Beret if the permanent Captain is in uniform with the White Beret.

Annual Captains of the HMS Unconquered serve until a new Annual Captain is named with a minimum tour of 1 year as Annual Captain, and repeat assignments as Annual Captain are permissible, with no more than two consecutive terms. Former Annual Captains of the Unconquered remain on the rolls as crew even after their annual captaincy has expired.

Annual Captains of HMS Unconquered are also entitled to wear a Hyper Command Star to their uniform as authorized by the appropriate regulations.

Nomination to the Annual Captaincy of the HMS Unconquered shall be by Fellow Chapter Commanding Officers, with a minimum rank of Captain Junior grade and above, and any Flag Rank Officer. A person must receive at least three nominations to be considered.

'''Permanent Captain of HMS Unconquered'''
Marines and Flag Officers who are embarked on local chapters do not count as officers for purposes of the ratio (or minimum officer requirements), but will count as members of the crew for minimum chapter size.

The Permanent Captain of the HMS Unconquered will be a Flag Officer who holds no other Ship Command within the RMN and who has rendered exceptional service to the Organization as a whole which has gone above and beyond any other Service or requirements.
Civilians and RMA personnel may be attached to a local RMN, GSN, IAN, RHN or other Allied naval ship, but do not count for purposes of minimum crew size, minimum officers or for the officer ratio calculations.  All RMA and Civilian personnel are consider to be supernumerary crew for all purposes and do not count for official chapter size calculations.

The Permanent Captain of the HMS Unconquered is entitled to wear the white beret of a hyper-capable ship command during their tour as Captain; the Permanent Captain’s authority to wear the White Beret takes precedence over the Annual Captain, who is encouraged to NOT wear the White Beret at the same event.
A Pinnace, once formed, has 12 months to increase its membership to the size of a LAC. If they have not accomplished this in 12 months, an automatic 6 month extension will be granted. After this, they may apply for ONE more 6 month extension on an as needed basis (this extension must be approved by your Fleet Command AND by BuShips). We fully understand that geography will play a part in the ability to get crews, so we accept that in some cases, a full 24 months may be needed.

The Permanent Captain of HMS Unconquered serves until death or willing retirement.

Nomination to the Permanent Captaincy of the HMS Unconquered shall be by any Space Lord, RMMC Commandant, Grayson High Admiral, the Head of any Allied Navy, or the First Lord of the Admiralty.

Re: Command Composition - Updated (Admiralty Order 1511-02)

This Admiralty Order officially replaces 1102-13.

This is a list, by Type, of the composition of the various Commands in the RMN; this information is expressed as the minimum number of crew and officers for each ship type as well as the maximum size for each ship type based upon Honorverse Canon for that type.

Pinnace 2-3 (1 Officer) 3-5 None
Light Assault Craft (LAC) 3 (2 Officers) 25 None
Destroyer (DD) 6 (2 Officers) 357 One

LAC Carrier (CLAC) 15 (5 Officers) 3,000 Five

Marines and Flag Officers who are embarked on local chapters do not count as officers for purposes of the ratio (or minimum officer requirements), but will count as members of the crew for minimum chapter size.
