Introduction
Saganami Island Academy (SIA) is dedicated to developing the knowledge, skills and leadership ability of RMN personnel and any visiting navy, army, marine, or civilian members.
SIA provides courses to all enlisted, warrant officer, and officer members in the RMN through its colleges. At the Naval College, enlisted, warrant officer, and officer members from Spacer Third Class all the way up to Captain (JG) are provided their rank or promotion courses. Officers may then move on to the War College, which provides rank courses for Captain (SG) up through Fleet Admiral. SIA also houses the Advanced Tactical Center, where qualified students can test their abilities in the Crusher. SIA is also the home to the Technical Specialties College, where enlisted members learn the skills for specialty ratings and officers learn how to lead departments or divisions.
The courses at SIA are open to any members, though it is recommended most members start in their own service academy. Through SIA’s robust collection of courses, BuTrain trains the future of TRMN.
