Re: AWARD ANNOUNCEMENTS (San Martino Fleet Order 1904-11)

Attention all personnel:

Thank you for your patience as this award list was compiled...technical difficulties, work/school requirements and other factors repeatedly delayed the release of these awards. Just remember that as the old saying goes, an Admiral is never on time or late, he completes paperwork precisely when he indends to...

Fortunately, with a great deal of help from Steadholder and Lady Fitzgerald, Captains Philip and Angela Clayton, we finally have everything ready to go! This post includes awards earned at both PensaCon and FantaSci. Even though there is a lot of information here, it is still entirely possible that we have accidentally left folks out. If that turns out to be the case, updates and amendments to this order will be released accordingly.

And now, without further ado:

During FantaSci 2019, Warrant Officer 1st Class Jon Iffland conducted himself in an outstanding fashion. When it was discovered that one of the guests, David Weber, had left their walking cane at home, WO 1st Class Iffland took it upon himself to locate a pharmacy and purchase a high quality replacement. He also volunteered for the convention ConSuite set-up and breakdown. He personally recruited two individuals for his Ship the Duke of Cromarty and assisted with Dealer Room load in and load out as well, spending several hours doing so. He continues to be an asset to the TRMN and exemplifies the “Can Do” spirit of the RMMC. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, WO 1st Class is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

During FantaSci 2019, SMCPO John Kane provided exemplary service in his assistance with transporting guests to and from the convention. His prompt attention to duty and willingness to serve is an example to all. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, SMCO John Kane is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

During FantaSci 2019, Civilian-1 Cindy Kuntzelman worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth set-up and break down of multiple dealers and assisting in additional departments throughout the convention. Her willingness to step in to assist in any capacity was inspiring and her tireless work was noted by several different individuals and departments. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, Civilian-1 Cindy Kuntzelman is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

During FantaSci 2019, Chief Petty Officer Scott Kuntzelman served in multiple areas of the convention, assured the successful set up and breakdown of multiple vendors and assisted throughout the convention. His efforts were noted by many individuals and departments and provided an exemplary example. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, Chief Petty Officer Kuntzelman is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

During FantaSci 2019, Petty Officer 1st Class Rayanne McClellan-Staubly served more than 5 hours assisting with the Dealer Room loading and unloading. She also served as co-hostess at a jointly coordinated Divisional Dinner, making special arrangement for those with special dietary needs. Throughout the convention she presented herself for extra duties and responsibilities. Petty Officer 1st Class Rayanne McClellan-Staubly is a shining example of Grayson diligence to duty. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, Petty Officer 1st Class is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

During FantaSci 2019, Captain Junior Grade Angela S. Clayton Lady Fitzgerald arranged for a multi-ship social dinner at the host hotel. Pre-arrangement with hotel staff prior to the convention to be sure that dietary needs would be accommodated. Contacting more than thirty people and coordinating arrivals and seating with staff. Once everyone had arrived and was seated, Lady Fitzgerald took to her hostess duties in earnest, assuring that each person was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Several more chairs were added as a result of her inclusion of unexpected arrivals. Participants stayed until the restaurant was closed and an excellent time was had by all. She provided an excellent example of both an RMN Officer and as Lady Fitzgerald an example of lasting hospitality. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, Captain Clayton is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

During FantaSci 2019, Lord Sir Philip A. Clayton Steadholder Fitzgerald served David and Sharon Weber as handler from arrival March 22nd to departure March 24th. In this capacity he assured on time arrivals at panels, maintained medications for both and arranged for meals. He served as valet for the Grand Duke, preparing and assisting with duties relating to His Grace including uniform and presentation for special events. In addition to maintaining all formal clothing at the convention, he was also responsible for the transport to and from the convention. Both His Grace David Weber and Her Grace Sharon Rice-Weber stated that his assistance was invaluable. This is in the best tradition of Grayson service. For performing above and beyond the call of duty, Captain Philip Clayton is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.
