BuShips Directive 1607-04 was issued 30 July 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It changes command of HMS Penelope (BC-585).

Re: Change of Command, HMS Penelope (BC-585)


Chief Rebori:

By the authority of the Third Space Lord, Admiral of the Green Lord Sir John Roberts, KDE, OR, SC, Earl New Mecklenburg, you are hereby requested and required to proceed to HMS Penelope (BC-585), a Nike-class Battlecruiser currently on station within Home Fleet (the First Naval District), and assume permanent command, relieving Captain Michael Spath, GSN. You are hereby brevetted to the rank of CAPTAIN (JG), RMN, in accordance with BuShips policy with respect to assuming command of a Battlecruiser type vessel.

Furthermore, the following personnel are hereby appointed and brevetted to the following billets:

  • LTSG Rachel Nevins, RMN, is appointed as Executive Officer and is subsequently brevetted to the rank of COMMANDER, RMN.
  • S3C Kate Regina, RMN, is appointed as Ship's Bosun and is subsequently brevetted to the rank of CHIEF PETTY OFFICER, RMN.

The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank CAPT Michael Spath, GSN, and LCDR Andre Tessler, RMN, for their service as Penelope's Commanding and Executive Officers.

The above orders are effective on this date, 30 July 2016
