Army Directive 2003-05 was issued 24 April 2020 under the authority of the Marshal of the Army. It ordered a period of mourning for the passing of the Countess of Neu Odenwaldkreis.

Effective 24 April, 2020, by and under my authority as Marshal of the Army, I hereby order the lowering of flags to half-mast and authorize the black mourning stripe for a period of 30 days to honor the passing of Lady Gloria J. Thomas-Friedline, the Countess of Neu Odenwaldkreis.
