Re: Space Warfare Pin Qualifications (Admiralty Order 1311-02)

The Space Warfare Pin is design to demonstrate qualifications to command and act as an Officer of the Watch, both as an Enlisted and as an Officer. To that end, the following criteria must be met for each:

ENLISTED:

As an Enlisted, you must complete C Levels[1] in three of the following Academic Areas:

  • Astrogation
  • Flight Operations
  • Tactical
  • Engineering
  • Communications

You must also complete A Levels in the following Courses:

Once these criteria have been met, you will be authorized, by the Provost Marshall of the Bureau of Training, to wear the Space Warfare Pin.

The Space Warfare Pin will be silver for Enlisted. It is worn above the ribbons in the same place an Officer would wear Hyper-Command Stars. The Enlisted Pin will come with Numbers up to “4”. These indicate the number of deployments (Chapters) you have served on.

OFFICER:

As an Officer, you are held to a higher standard. You must complete D Levels in four of the following Academic Areas:

  • Astrogation
  • Flight Operations
  • Tactical
  • Engineering
  • Communications

You must also complete C Levels[1] in the following Courses:

Once these criteria have been met, you will be authorized, by the Provost Marshall of the Bureau of Training, to wear the Space Warfare Pin.

The Space Warfare Pin will be gold for Officers. It is worn in the same location as Hyper-command Stars and is swapped for Hyper-Command Stars as soon as the officer is qualified for those. The two may not be worn together regardless of qualification.
